Larnaca Arrest: Hamas Member Detained at Airport

A man of Lebanese origin, arrested on Friday at Larnaca airport, is reportedly a member of the Hamas organization, according to German media reports.

The suspect, accused of arms smuggling on behalf of Hamas, was arrested on a European warrant and is expected to be extradited to Germany. On Sunday, German authorities searched his apartment in Berlin.

In total, 7 people have been arrested in Germany and the United Kingdom in connection with the same case. They are alleged to have been procuring weapons and ammunition to carry out terrorist attacks against Israeli and Jewish targets in Germany and elsewhere.
