A Ukrainian man has been arrested in Munich, accused of murdering 64-year-old hotelier Konstantinos Tsiantis in Rhodes. The 49-year-old allegedly orchestrated Tsiantis's death, setting a trap that collapsed due to his own mistakes.

The arrest was made by German authorities following information from the Hellenic Police (ELAS). Investigations began on May 1, 2025, when Tsiantis's wife reported his disappearance, suspicious of a message she received from his phone.

Tsiantis had reported two burglaries to the police in April 2025, naming two Ukrainians, one of whom was the 49-year-old, as perpetrators. According to authorities, the crime took place on May 1, with the perpetrator throwing the hotelier and his motorcycle into a ravine outside Pastida.

The motive was financial, as the Ukrainian allegedly sought to seize Tsiantis's hotel in Kremasti. The 49-year-old had fled Rhodes on November 13, 2025.
