Injured Man Arrested for Illegal Residence After Larnaca Brawl

A 26-year-old man, who was injured in a brawl in an apartment building in Larnaca, has been arrested by police for illegal residence in the Republic of Cyprus. His health is in good condition.
According to the Larnaca Police Department, the 26-year-old sustained a laceration to his right shoulder, caused by a sharp object. He was taken to Larnaca General Hospital, where he received first aid.
Authorities report that the 26-year-old had been residing illegally in Cyprus since 20/6/2024. Police have identified one of the two perpetrators of the attack, who is also from India, and procedures have begun to issue an arrest warrant. The second perpetrator remains unknown to the 26-year-old.
A 66-year-old Cypriot resident of the same apartment building was slightly injured while trying to de-escalate the situation and was discharged from the hospital.
