Alert in Akrotiri, Cyprus: Sirens Sounded

An alert was triggered in Akrotiri, Cyprus, late Wednesday night, with sirens sounding and residents receiving urgent messages about a potential threat.

According to reports, a suspicious object was detected approximately three kilometers from the military base and assessed as a possible threat. Residents were urged to remain indoors and follow safety instructions.

Shortly after 11:10 PM, government spokesperson Konstantinos Letymbiotis stated that the alert had ended and no threat was detected. The activation of security protocols was part of precautionary measures.
