Arrests for Domestic Violence, Drugs, and Burglaries in Cyprus

Cyprus Police conducted targeted operations overnight, resulting in the arrest of seven individuals for various offenses.
Specifically, arrests were made for:
- Illegal possession of a small quantity of drugs
- Building burglary (arrest of a 63-year-old)
- Domestic violence
- Driving under the influence of alcohol (two arrests)
- Illegal residence in the Republic of Cyprus
- Failure to comply with police instructions
During the operations, over 600 vehicles and 750 individuals were checked. 34 premises were inspected, resulting in four complaints for violations related to their operating licenses.
In addition, 211 complaints were filed for traffic violations, including 87 for speeding and 25 for driving under the influence of alcohol. Four drivers tested positive for drug use, while a total of 438 alcohol tests were conducted. Eight vehicles were also impounded.
These operations are part of a broad police plan to prevent crime and enhance public safety.
