Coordinated Operation in Limassol: Arrests and Fines Issued

A coordinated operation took place today in the city and district of Limassol, aimed at ensuring public order and legality.

The operation involved members of the Limassol Police Department, the Aliens & Immigration Service, the Fire Service, the Limassol District Self-Government Organisation, the Health Service, the Tax Department, the Labour Inspection Department, and the Customs Department.

During the operation, 46 people were checked, and six people were arrested for illegal residence in the Republic of Cyprus. Additionally, three cases of illegal employment were identified, and fines were imposed for undeclared work.

The Customs Department also discovered more than two kilograms of tobacco products that had been illegally imported, and a fine was imposed on the owner.
