The Paphos District Court ordered a four-day detention for the four suspects arrested during an anti-terrorism operation in Paphos. The decision was announced today, instead of tomorrow as initially reported.

The arrests took place at a restaurant in the commercial center of Paphos, following information about a meeting of criminal group members. The four suspects, two of Cypriot origin from Larnaca and two foreigners, were arrested in possession of offensive weapons and large sums of money.

Specifically, €3,000 and a knuckle duster were found in the possession of a 42-year-old, €3,000 in the possession of a 45-year-old, €5,000 in the possession of a 29-year-old, and €12,810 in the possession of a 30-year-old. The suspects gave various explanations for the origin of the money, which are being investigated.

Police stated that significant investigative work remains and that statements, the Labor Office, hotels, and bus companies will be examined. Closed-circuit surveillance will also be reviewed.
