Fatal Accident in Aglantzia: Warnings About Speed Races

Following the tragic death of 20-year-old Kyriakos Antoniou on Larnakos Avenue, it has been revealed that residents and authorities had warned about the road turning into a speed track.

According to reports, the 1460 hotline was receiving continuous calls about dangerous driving behaviors. A Mechanical Engineer of Motor Vehicles sent a letter to the Police on July 21, which Alpha reveals, mentioning serious traffic violations.

The letter describes incidents such as motorcycles reaching speeds of over 150 km/h and street races, causing nuisance and endangering residents. The complainant notes that the violations are not limited to the night.

Despite sending the letter and forwarding it to the Ministry of Justice, there was no response.
