45-Year-Old Inmate Found Dead in Central Prisons

A 45-year-old Greek Cypriot inmate was found dead in the Central Prisons. Prison staff mobilized last night to transfer him to a hospital.

According to the Police, the inmate showed signs of a health problem around 8:30 PM and was immediately transferred to a hospital. Doctors tried to keep him alive, but the 45-year-old passed away shortly after.

Reports indicate that the 45-year-old had been experiencing cardiological problems recently. The exact causes of death will be determined after the autopsy. The inmate had no external injuries. The Nicosia CID is investigating the case.
