Passenger Death on «Daleela»: Investigation into Circumstances

Investigations are ongoing by the Police into the death of a 56-year-old passenger on the ship «Daleela», which was sailing the Greece – Cyprus route.

The passenger, a resident of Cyprus originally from Greece, felt severe chest pain and collapsed during the journey to Limassol, approximately 20 nautical miles from the port.

Despite efforts, his death was confirmed upon the ship's arrival at Limassol Port. Complaints have been made regarding deficiencies in medical equipment and possible inaction by medical personnel, which are being investigated.

The man's body has been transferred for autopsy.
