Thasos: 30-year-old Romanian Drowns at Koinyra Beach

A 30-year-old foreign national, a Romanian citizen, was retrieved unconscious from the sea at "Koinyra" beach in Thasos. The incident occurred yesterday at noon.

The Thasos Port Authority was immediately notified. Bystanders and paramedics provided first aid to the 30-year-old.

He was transported by ambulance to the Prinos Health Center, where his death was confirmed.

A preliminary investigation is being conducted by the 1st Port Department of Thasos of the Central Port Authority of Kavala. The body will be transferred to the Forensic Service of Thrace for an autopsy.
