Thessaloniki: Fatal Attack on 20-Year-Old PAOK Fan

Shock in Thessaloniki after a fatal attack on a 20-year-old PAOK fan in Kalamaria, in an incident attributed to fan violence.

The incident occurred on Argonafton Street, when unknown individuals argued with the 20-year-old, who was attacked with a knife. According to witnesses, three people had set up an ambush and stabbed him in the back.

The police and EKAB (ambulance service) were immediately notified. Paramedics tried to revive the young man, but he was taken to the hospital unconscious and pronounced dead.

The case was taken over by the Subdivision for Addressing Sports Violence. According to initial reports, the perpetrator is allegedly a fan of Aris. Four arrests have been made and the police investigation is ongoing.
