Timi, Paphos: Violent Altercation Over Windshield Wipers – 47-Year-Old Seriously Injured

A 47-year-old man was seriously injured at a market in Timi, Paphos, when he tried to defend a woman who was arguing with individuals who had replaced her car's windshield wipers without her permission and were demanding money.
According to the 47-year-old's complaint to the police, the confrontation with the strangers led to an assault, resulting in him being struck in the face. The man was taken to Paphos General Hospital, where it was found that he had a severe nasal fracture and an injury to his right eye area. He was subsequently transferred to Nicosia General Hospital, where he underwent surgery.
The incident began when the woman refused to pay for the replacement of the windshield wipers, which was done without her consent. The perpetrators insisted on being paid, claiming that the windshield wipers they installed were disposable. The 47-year-old intervened, resulting in his injury.
The perpetrators are being sought by the police. The police are investigating the incident.
It is reported that the phenomenon of changing windshield wipers without permission and demanding payment is common in the Paphos area.
