TC Media: 13-year-old crossed at Ledra Street checkpoint - To be transferred to Turkey

The 13-year-old Majed Alashtar, from Syria, who had disappeared from the free areas on August 6, was located in the occupied territories, according to Turkish Cypriot media.

According to Turkish Cypriot media, the 13-year-old reportedly asked for permission to go to Ledra Street and crossed into the occupied territories through the checkpoint. It is reported that he will be deported to Turkey.

The authorities of the Republic of Cyprus are in communication with the TC side through the competent bi-communal technical committee regarding the case.

The TC 'news agency' reported that information is expected on whether the 13-year-old will be extradited to the Republic of Cyprus.
