Turkish Ring Transferred Illegal Betting Profits to Occupied Territories

One of the leaders of a Turkish illegal betting ring, dismantled in Istanbul, confessed to the Turkish prosecution authorities that part of the huge sums of money the organization made were channeled to the occupied territories of Cyprus.

According to reports in the Turkish Cypriot press, the arrested man confessed that the money that was left over and not distributed as profits was transferred by him in cash from Turkey to the pseudo-state.

The 38 defendants face charges of forming a criminal organization and promoting and facilitating the conduct of illegal sports betting and gambling.
