Fatal Accident in Aglantzia: 20-Year-Old Kyriakos Antoniou Killed

A horrific fatal accident on Larnakos Avenue in Aglantzia, claiming the life of 20-year-old Kyriakos Antoniou, was captured by a closed-circuit surveillance system.

The video, broadcast by Sigma TV station, shows a vehicle driven by a 24-year-old traveling at breakneck speed and colliding with Kyriakos Antoniou's car, who was attempting to turn right at the intersection with Ilision Street.

The collision was severe, with the 20-year-old's vehicle turning into a shapeless mass of metal. Despite the video footage and testimonies regarding the excessive speed of the 24-year-old driver, the Nicosia Traffic Police is awaiting scientific confirmation of the findings.

Larnakos Avenue will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, July 31, 2025, for a reconstruction of the accident.
