Tragedy in Pervolia: 79-year-old woman found dead in house fire

Tragedy in Pervolia, Larnaca. A 79-year-old woman, Filothei Mourtzi, was found dead after a fire broke out in her house.

The fire started around 12:30 and was noticed by neighbors, who forced entry and found the unfortunate woman unconscious in the hall.

Paramedics who arrived by ambulance pronounced her dead. The Fire Service extinguished the fire, which had broken out in the bedroom, before it spread. The circumstances of death are being investigated by the Police.
