Tyrnavos: Fatal Electrocution at Quarry – One Dead, One Arrested

A tragic incident occurred in Tyrnavos, where a 33-year-old Roma man died from electrocution at a quarry in the Koutsochero area of Larissa.

According to TirnavosPress.gr, the 33-year-old and a 39-year-old, also a resident of the Roma settlement, attempted to remove materials from a private high-voltage substation. The 33-year-old was fatally injured.

The 39-year-old transported the 33-year-old, unconscious, to the Tyrnavos Health Center. He was subsequently arrested and showed the authorities the scene of the accident, where two cutting wheels were found and confiscated.

Authorities are investigating the causes of the accident, and a forensic examination is expected to clarify the circumstances.
