Share on:

Investigations continue into the bloody clash in Vorizia, Crete, with authorities proceeding to detentions and taking testimonies.

Members of the Fragiadakis family testified, naming relatives of Kargakis as involved in the clash. At the same time, the Hellenic Police (ELAS) proceeded to two detentions during an operation in the village.

The son-in-law of Fanouris Kargakis, who has been recorded on video shooting with a Kalashnikov, was led to the prosecutor with a bulletproof vest. Also, the apologies of the two injured people being treated at PAGNI have been completed.

ELAS investigations continue, with the two detentions concerning individuals allegedly related to the family of Fanouris Kargakis. It has not been clarified whether the detentions are related to their participation in the clash or to the possession of weapons.

According to reports, the mother and wife of one of the three Fragiadakis brothers testified to the Investigator of Heraklion, naming members of the Kargakis family as perpetrators.

ELAS is also looking for a second person who was with Kargakis' son-in-law at the spot where he was shooting.
