Chania: Two Arrests for Gunshots After Celebration

Two men, aged 73 and 37, were arrested in Chania, Crete for illegal possession of weapons and reckless gunfire. According to patris.gr, authorities were alerted after residents reported gunshots in an area of Chania on Saturday afternoon.
Police located the source of the gunshots at a house where a celebration was taking place. During a search of the house and a vehicle, they collected cartridges of various calibers.
Searches carried out this morning at the residences of the arrested men resulted in the discovery and confiscation of 17 cartridges of various calibers, a firearm (pistol) with two magazines, and 100 rounds of ammunition. The arrested men will be brought before the competent Prosecutor's Office. The case is being investigated by the Chania Crime Prosecution and Investigation Sub-Directorate.
