Chania: Infant Falls from Balcony – Seriously Injured

A shocking incident occurred in Chania when a one-year-old infant fell from a balcony in the Gerani area of Platanias Municipality.

According to ERT, the infant escaped the attention of its 17-year-old mother. It was transferred to Chania Hospital and then to the Pediatric ICU of PAGNI due to the severity of its injuries.

The Deputy Commander of PAGNI, Stelios Kteniadakis, stated that the child is hospitalized in serious condition, with multiple injuries to the head and body.

Police arrested the mother for endangering the child but released her to go to the hospital. The Chania Sub-Directorate of Crime Investigation is conducting a preliminary investigation.
