Hand Grenade Found in Ayia Napa After Bomb Threat Calls

A hand grenade was found at a property in Ayia Napa during a police search following bomb threat calls to various locations in the Famagusta district.
According to reports, an unknown person called the Ayia Napa Police Station and stated that explosive devices had been placed at a specific property in Ayia Napa and other unspecified locations. A second call was made to a television station in Nicosia, also reporting explosive devices at the same property.
During the search, a hand grenade was discovered. The property was evacuated and the scene was cordoned off. The hand grenade was taken by police bomb disposal experts for further examination. Investigations are ongoing and the case is being investigated by the Famagusta TAE.
