The indictment in the death of Thanassis Nicolaou is expanding, with two more individuals being added. The case's registration at the Limassol Court is postponed to September.

Initially, it was decided to file private criminal prosecutions against seven individuals, but now it will involve nine people in total. Two separate indictments will be filed: one for the former police officers and forensic pathologist Panikos Stavrianos, and a second for the military personnel.

The first indictment will include Panikos Stavrianos and four former police officers. The second will include four former military personnel: two officers and two soldiers who served with Thanassis. The two soldiers allegedly attacked Thanassis, while the officers knew about the conscript's living conditions and did not intervene.

The indictment against Panikos Stavrianos includes 47 charges. He has denied the charges, insisting on his original position of a fall from a height without criminal activity.

The registration of the indictments is postponed to September due to the August holidays and the need to connect each defendant with testimony.

The stance of the Attorney General remains uncertain. While Giorgos Savvidis had stated that he would not proceed with criminal prosecutions himself, the Legal Service has not yet commented on the matter.
