18-year-old earns £2000 selling paintings made by rats

18-year-old Ella Woodland from Worcestershire, England, is earning money by selling abstract art created by her eight pet rats. Woodland lets the rats run on canvases with paints, creating colorful paintings which she sells on Vinted for £10 each, along with a small easel.

A post on X went viral, increasing demand. She has earned £2,000 since March, selling around 20 paintings a week. The money is used for the care of the rats and for driving lessons. Woodland stated that she did not expect such success.

Rats are becoming increasingly popular pets, especially in urban areas. They are considered social, intelligent and affectionate creatures, according to PETA.
