23rd Pafos Aphrodite Festival: Set for Success

The 23rd Pafos Aphrodite Festival is approaching, with organizers expressing confidence in a great artistic success. The festival will take place on September 5th and 6th at the Castle Square in Pafos.
During a press conference, the organizers emphasized that this year's festival is expected to be one of the most successful in the history of the event. The Tbilisi State Opera and Ballet Theatre, in collaboration with the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, will present the opera "Carmen" by Georges Bizet.
Composer and conductor Aris Antoniadis gave a presentation on "Carmen – 150 years of musical charm," highlighting the opera's timeless appeal. Greetings were delivered by the Mayor of Pafos, Mr. Phaidon Phaidonos, Dr. Christina Michael from the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, the Consul of Georgia in Cyprus, Ms. Ani Udzilauri, and Mr. Savvas Papathomas from the Bank of Cyprus.
Mr. Phaidonos stated that strengthening the Pafos Aphrodite Festival contributes to the development of Pafos and emphasized the festival's importance for the country's cultural identity. The representative of the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra highlighted the social role of festivals, while the Consul of Georgia referred to the meeting of the two cultures.
