28th Thessaloniki Documentary Festival Poster Features Port Cranes

The poster for the 28th Thessaloniki Documentary Festival has been released, featuring port cranes in the foreground. The poster was created by Alexandros Psychoulis.

A. Psychoulis stated that he grew up watching the cranes in the port of Volos and later Thessaloniki, waiting to see the crane claws reveal the insides of the ships, just as documentaries reveal pieces of life.

Along with the poster, five documentaries to be screened at the festival, which will be held from March 5 to 15, 2026, were also announced. These include films about Marianne Faithfull, Kim Novak, and Irvine Welsh.

Alexandros Psychoulis was born in Volos in 1966 and is a Professor of Art and Technology at the University of Thessaly.
