Researcher and Author Kleitos Ioannides Passes Away

Researcher and author Kleitos Ioannides has passed away suddenly at the age of 81. He was a long-time collaborator on radio and television programs for RIK.
Born in Moutoullas on July 7, 1944, he studied theology and sociology at the University of Sorbonne and received a doctorate in philosophy.
He worked as a teacher and professor in Cyprus and Greece, as well as at the Center for Scientific Research. He was involved in poetry, essays, articles, and writing radio and television programs.
He was a founding member of intellectual groups and a member of the boards of the Philosophical Society of Cyprus, the Cyprus Writers' Union, and the International Theatre Institute. He was honored for his contribution to literature by the University of Cyprus and the Academy of Athens.
His funeral will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. from the Church of Saints Constantine and Helen in Nicosia.
