Cypriot Philosopher Kleitos Ioannides Passes Away

Cypriot philosopher, researcher, and poet Kleitos Ioannides has passed away at the age of 81. Born in Moutoullas in 1944, he studied philosophy, religious studies, and social sciences in Paris, where he obtained a doctoral degree.

Kleitos Ioannides served as president of the Philosophical Society of Cyprus, the Board of Directors of Theater ENA, and the National Society of Greek Writers of Cyprus. He worked as a researcher in Paris, Athens, and the Center for Scientific Research.

The Deputy Ministry of Culture expressed its condolences, emphasizing that his death leaves an irreplaceable void for the culture of Cyprus. His funeral will be held on Saturday, July 26th in Nicosia.

Kleitos Ioannides leaves behind a rich body of work in the fields of philosophy, poetry, and religious studies.
