The Dormition of the Virgin Mary was celebrated with splendor in Panagia of Tinos, with thousands of faithful flocking from Greece and abroad. The celebrations culminated with the procession of the icon of the Virgin Mary.

The President of the Republic, Konstantinos Tasoulas, attended the doxology in Ekatontapiliani of Paros and thanked those who defended the country from the fires. The Speaker of the Parliament, Nikitas Kaklamanis, stressed the importance of solidarity and love for the homeland.

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis attended the Divine Liturgy at the Monastery of Agios Ioannis Prodromos in Chania, emphasizing unity and security. Nikos Androulakis wished prosperity and peace, while referring to the need for a national plan for civil protection. Sokratis Famellos stressed the importance of unity and care.

The celebrations include traditions such as Panagia Soumela, Panagia of Ekatontapiliani in Paros, the monastery in Mikrokastro Kozani, the riders of Siatista, Skiathos, Patmos, Zagorochoria, Thassos, Lesvos, Karpathos and Kefalonia with the snakes of Panagia.
