Thessaloniki International Fair 2025: Frappe... Bougatsa for Visitors

At the 89th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF), visitors had the opportunity to taste a special variation of frappe, the "frappe bougatsa", at the Thessaloniki Municipality stand.

Experienced baristas presented how to make the coffee, combining the classic frappe with the taste of bougatsa, a traditional Thessaloniki pastry. Visitors tasted the coffee with cream foam and cinnamon.

The Deputy Mayor of Culture, Tourism and Intermunicipal Cooperation of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, Vasilis Gakis, stated that Thessaloniki has been part of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network of Gastronomy since 2021 and the aim is to promote the city's gastronomy.

As part of the events, the thematic unit "The Sweet History of Loukoumi" will take place next Saturday, September 13th.
