Free admission will be offered to 16 monuments and archaeological sites across Cyprus on the weekend of October 4th and 5th, as part of the European Heritage Days celebrations, the Deputy Ministry of Culture announced.

Visitors will have the opportunity to experience Cyprus' cultural heritage, discover archaeological sites, and access digital guides.

Cyprus has participated in the European Heritage Days since 1995. This year, the Department of Antiquities is opening archaeological sites and monuments for free.

As part of the initiative, sites usually closed on weekends, such as the archaeological sites of Tamassos, Idalion, Kition, and Kalavasos-Tenta, will be open. The Royal Chapel in Pyrga will also be open.
