Restoration Work Begins on Michelangelo's 'The Last Judgment'

Restoration work has begun on Michelangelo's 'The Last Judgment' in the Sistine Chapel, after 30 years. The work is expected to last approximately three months.
According to the Vatican Museums, the work aims to remove pollutant particles that have altered the colors of the artwork. Head conservator Paolo Violini stated that the expressive complexity of the work will be fully restored.
The Sistine Chapel will remain open to the public during the restoration work.
