ERT Presents Radio Stations and DAB+ Network

ERT presented its nationwide radio stations' program at a special event on Wednesday, November 19. The president of ERT, Giannis Papadopoulos, announced the upcoming launch of the new digital radio network DAB+ by the end of the first half of 2026.

DAB+ will offer an upgraded listening experience with stable, interference-free sound. According to a Focus Bari survey, 72% of the public has a positive image of ERT's radio stations, while approximately 2,000,000 citizens tune in to the stations daily.

During the event, a historical audio document from the Radio Archive was presented, recordings of painting lessons by Giannis Tsarouchis from the summer of 1981. Giannis Papadopoulos handed over the material to the rector of the Athens School of Fine Arts, Erató Chatzisáva.

Kostas Papavasileiou, CEO of ERT, referred to the 43% increase in listenership since 2019 and the strategic plan for the transition to the digital age, which includes an investment program, upgrading the operation of the radio stations, strengthening the ERT echo digital platform, and creating new digital radios.
