Genica Athanasiou: The Greek Actress and Her Love Affair with Antonin Artaud

The life of Ioanna-Evgenia Athanasiou, known as Genica, a prominent silent film actress and lover of Antonin Artaud, has inspired the theatrical play 'Genica: the jet of my blood' by Ioli Andreadi and Aris Asproulis.

The play will be staged at the Simeio Theatre from October 8 for ten performances and is the epilogue to the creators' trilogy ('Artaud / Van Gogh', 'Cenci Family', 'Kokkalo'), completing ten years of research and creation.
