Dua Lipa has been granted citizenship of Kosovo, as announced by the country's president. The ceremony honored the singer, who was described as the 'voice and pride' of Kosovo.

Vjosa Osmani, the President of Kosovo, stated that Dua Lipa is one of the most iconic cultural figures in the country's history. Lipa, born in London to Kosovar-Albanian parents, lived in Pristina for a time after Kosovo's independence in 2008.

Dua Lipa has often spoken about her love for Kosovo and has established a charitable foundation to support vulnerable communities in the country. In 2022, she also received Albanian citizenship.
