Dua Lipa Granted Kosovo Citizenship

Singer Dua Lipa has been granted citizenship of Kosovo by the country's president, Vjosa Osmani. Lipa, born in London to Kosovar-Albanian parents, expressed her gratitude for the honor.
The 29-year-old moved to Pristina at the age of 11, when her family returned after Kosovo's independence in 2008. Osmani stated that Lipa is one of the most important cultural figures in the country's history and an inspiration to millions.
Lipa performed at the Sunny Hill festival in Kosovo, where she sang the song Era with her father. In 2022, she also received Albanian citizenship.
