Director Mike Flanagan, in his latest film 'The Life of Chuck,' based on the novella by Stephen King, explores human existence. The film tells the story of Charles 'Chuck' Krantz (Tom Hiddleston), an ordinary man who finds himself at the center of a global apocalypse.

The film uses a reverse chronological structure to examine the value of Chuck's life. The narrative begins at the end of the world and moves towards the beginning of his life, revealing the small moments that make up his existence.

Flanagan combines Walt Whitman's poem 'Song of Myself' and Carl Sagan's 'Cosmic Calendar' to explore human consciousness and its place in the universe. The film highlights the importance of connection and love.

'The Life of Chuck' is in theaters from Cinobo from 04/09.
