We attended the performance of 'Mr. Zyl' at Porta Theatre, a contemporary adaptation of August Strindberg's 'Miss Julie,' written and directed by Thomas Moschopoulos. The story focuses on the relationship between Zyl, a young aristocrat, and Jean, his servant.
From the beginning, the set design and lighting are impressive. The relationship between Jean and Christine reveals love and conflict. With Zyl's appearance, the balance shifts, and he tries to achieve his goals. The performance explores secrets, desires, and a power dynamic.
