Manos Katrakis: Tribute to the great actor

Manos Katrakis passed away on September 2, 1984. Such a September took **Lambeti**, Katrakis, and this year Alexandros Kotzias (1926-1992).

Actress Eva Kotamanidou (1936-2020) wrote about Katrakis in "Tachydromos" on October 21, 1992, describing his role in **Sikelianos**' "Death of Digenis" at the KTHBE in 1975.

Odysseas Elytis said of Manos Katrakis: "The pale figure of Manos Katrakis, engraved with persistence and effort on the metal of modern Greek reality, continues to resist the alterations of time and radiate all ethos. The purity of his voice. I have never heard more beautiful Greek. The words come out of his lips bright and round with a bright outline, like the pebbles of some virgin shore."
