Elton John Inspired Artwork by Billy Connolly

Elton John served as the inspiration for a new artwork by comedian Billy Connolly. Connolly, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2013, created a piece titled 'Saturday Night,' which depicts a rock and roll pianist.

In a released video, the Scottish comedian mentions that the work is inspired by his tours with Elton John in the 1970s. Connolly emphasized that the character in the artwork has his foot on the piano, a move that Elton John used to do.

Connolly toured America with Elton John in 1976 and stated he was impressed by John's performing abilities. Connolly's artworks have the same appeal as his comedy sketches, and he paints at his home in Florida.

In 2023, a book featuring more than 300 artworks by Billy Connolly was published by Castle.
