Cypriot Michael Anastassiades Awarded London Design Medal 2025

Cypriot designer Michael Anastassiades has been awarded the London Design Medal 2025, the highest distinction of the London Design Festival. The award ceremony took place on September 15th at the V&A East Storehouse.
Michael Anastassiades, born in Cyprus and based in London, was recognized for his consistent and outstanding contribution to the field of design. He was honored alongside Norman Foster, Sinead Burke, and Rio Kobayashi.
Ben Evans, director of the Festival, stated that the award winners represent the breadth of contemporary creation. M. Anastassiades thanked the design community and his team.
Michael Anastassiades founded his studio in 1994 and the brand Michael Anastassiades in 2007. He has received international recognition, including Royal Designer for Industry (2015), the ADI Compasso d’Oro award (2020), and the OBE (2024).
