Patricia Hitchcock O'Connell, daughter of the famous director Alfred Hitchcock, shared memories of her father, while debunking some myths surrounding him.

In a 1993 interview, O'Connell clarified that her father was present at her birth, contrary to what was written in a controversial biography. She even revealed that Hitchcock and the doctor were drinking gin and orange juice during the delivery.

O'Connell also refuted the claim that Hitchcock said, 'actors are like cattle,' pointing out that he actually said, 'actors should be treated like cattle.'

She also mentioned a prank her father played on her during the filming of 'Strangers on a Train,' where he offered her $100 to ride a Ferris wheel, which he then abruptly stopped at the top.

O'Connell emphasized that her father encouraged her acting aspirations and that her mother, Alma Reville Hitchcock, played a crucial role in the director's career, as she had 'the eye' and helped him with his films.

Finally, O'Connell described her father as a man with a macabre sense of humor, mentioning an incident where he told her a terrifying story immediately after she was locked in a trunk.
