Visual Artist Nikos Stefanou Passes Away at 92

The prominent visual artist Nikos Stefanou has passed away at the age of 92. Born in Piraeus in 1933, he began working at a young age as a painter and set designer.

Nikos Stefanou studied in Paris on a scholarship from the French government and had a long tenure at the National Opera of Greece and the National Theatre of Greece. He collaborated with important artists such as Alekos Fassianos and Vasilis Sperantzas.

Minister of Culture Lina Mendoni expressed her sorrow for the loss of the artist, emphasizing his multifaceted contribution to art and culture.
