Irish-American fashion designer Paul Costelloe, known for his work with Princess Diana, has died in London at the age of 80.

His family announced the news on November 22nd, stating that Costelloe passed away in London, where he lived with his wife and seven children.

Costelloe founded his company, Paul Costelloe Collections, in 1979. He served as Princess Diana's personal designer from 1983 until her death in 1997.

Born in Dublin in 1945, he studied at the Grafton Academy of Fashion Design and worked at fashion houses in Paris and Milan before starting his own company.

His collections combined traditional elements with innovative touches, emphasizing his Irish heritage. In recent years, he collaborated with Dunnes Stores on a line of fashion and homeware.
