Director Giorgos Panousopoulos Dies at 84

Director Giorgos Panousopoulos has passed away at the age of 84, leaving behind a significant legacy in Greek cinema.
Giorgos Panousopoulos was born in Athens in 1942. He studied film and photography and began his career as a cinematographer. He collaborated on many productions, bringing his aesthetic to advertising, television, and international events, such as the 2004 Athens Olympic Games.
As a director, he directed films such as "Honey Moon", "The Others", "Mania", "Do You Love Me?", "Free Diving", "One Day at Night" and "Testosterone". His last film was "In This Country Nobody Knew How to Cry" in 2018.
The Thessaloniki Film Festival page bid him farewell, emphasizing his contribution to Greek cinema. Condolences were also expressed to his wife, actress Betty Livanou, and his family.
