Painter Michalis Katzourakis Passes Away

Painter, visual artist, and sculptor Michalis Katzourakis has passed away. His funeral will be held on Tuesday, December 30th, at 11:00 AM at the Church of Agios Georgios in Melissia.
Michalis Katzourakis was born in Alexandria, Egypt in 1933. He studied painting in Paris and served as an artistic advisor to the Hellenic Tourism Organization (EOT) from 1960-1967.
In 1962, he founded the Athens Advertising Center "K&K". He was awarded the Golden Cross of the Order of the Phoenix for his contribution to Greek design.
His works are featured in the National Gallery of Athens, the National Museum of Contemporary Art, and other collections in Greece and abroad.
