Conference on Akanthou and Neighboring Villages

The Municipality of Akanthou, the Refugee Association "Akanthou," and the Akanthou School Board are organizing the 17th Scientific and Folklore Conference on the theme "Akanthou: The cultural and social coexistence with the neighboring villages of Lefkoniko, Kalograia, Flamoudi, Mandres."

The conference will be held on January 17, 2026, at the Latsia Theatre. The aim is to highlight the historical, social, and cultural relations of Akanthou with its neighboring communities.

The conference is under the auspices of the Minister of Labor and Social Insurance, Mr. Marinos Mousiouttas. Vasiliki Papastirianou will present the program. Registration is open until January 14, 2026.
