Two variations on the classic yuvarlakia, one with portobello mushrooms and one with meatballs, offer a modern twist on a traditional dish.

Yuvarlakia with Portobello: A vegan version with portobello mushrooms, orzo pasta, tomato, white wine, and aromatic herbs. Optionally, you can add grated vegan cheese.

Yuvarlakia with Meatballs: Meatballs made from minced meat, bread, onion, tomato, and herbs, cooked in tomato sauce with orzo pasta and kefalograviera cheese.
