Recipe: Homemade Kasseropita by Dimitris Skarmoutsos

Chef Dimitris Skarmoutsos presented an easy recipe for homemade kasseropita, ideal for breakfast, on the Buongiorno show. The recipe includes rustic phyllo pastry, kasseri cheese, feta cheese, eggs, milk, olive oil, corn flour, and baking powder.

Ingredients:

  • 1 package of rustic phyllo pastry
  • 600 g grated kasseri cheese
  • 150 g feta cheese
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 liter of milk
  • 100 ml olive oil
  • 100 g corn flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions:

Heat the milk and add the corn flour, stirring well. Add the baking powder and grated kasseri cheese. Optionally, add feta cheese instead of salt. Once the ingredients are mixed, remove from heat and add the eggs. Place two phyllo sheets at the bottom of the pan, pour in the mixture, and cover with two more sheets. Bake at 160 degrees Celsius for about an hour.
