Maroula Violari Iakovidou Honored: Surprise for Marios Hartsiotis

Maroula Violari Iakovidou, a pioneering Cypriot journalist, was honored at a journalism awards ceremony at the Presidential Palace. The event was co-organized by the Gender Equality Commissioner's office, the Radio Television Authority, the Journalists' Union, the Journalistic Ethics Committee, and Frederick University.

Minister of Justice Marios Hartsiotis, representing the President of the Republic, was surprised when Maroula Iakovidou revealed that his mother worked in the accounting department of the newspaper "Ethnos" during her journalistic tenure there.
